Please be advised that the MGA program offers two mirror-like modalities. The European modality begins in Spain and the Canadian modality which begins in Prince Edward Island, Canada. However, both modalities offer the same courses and opportunities. Applicants must specify what modality they wish to pursue in their application. Course Structure of the European Modality:

  • Semester 1: Madrid, Spain (September/October) and Strasbourg, France (November/December). 

  • Semester 2: Prince Edward Island, Canada (February-April) + internship/thesis period (roughly a 3 month period, starting at the beginning of May). This will depend on the location of the student's project.

Course Structure of the Canadian Modality: 

  • Semester 1: Prince Edward Island, Canada (September-December)

  • Semester 2: Madrid, Spain, and Strasbourg, France (January- April) + internship/thesis period

All applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution by the date of anticipated enrollment. In addition, applicants must hold a 2.7 GPA (approximately 70%) or higher in their last two years (or last 20 courses) of study. Applicants are required to submit transcripts from all institutions attended in English, French or Spanish. Applicants for whom English is not the native language and who did not pursue at least one year of their education at an English speaking institution with predominantly English instruction, also have to submit the result of a TOEFL and/or IELTS test. (Please see entry requirements or send us an email at info@masteringlobalaffairs.org).

 

Dates on Your Calendar:

  • The online application for fall 2022 will start on November 30, 2021. It is advised that international students apply as early as possible as travel arrangements and documents can be time-consuming. The documents described below may be submitted via e-mail to admissions@masteringlobalaffairs.org. After submitting your online application, you will receive an e-mail of confirmation that includes the instructions for checking your application status.

  • The beginning of the next cohort will be September 2021.​​

Required Documents:

  1. Universidad Rey Juan Carlos application form (download and fill out the application).​

  2. Resume/CV: Your resume and CV allow for a review of academic background and experience 

  3. Statement of purpose: Your statement of purpose clearly explains your reason for applying, what you expect from the program, and how you can contribute to the program.

  4. Letters of recommendation: All applicants are required to submit two letters of recommendation (at least one letter should come from an academic setting) to support their application (in English, French, or Spanish). 

 

Admissions decision (2021)

  • Admissions are done by an Academic Committee on rolling basis intervals. In order to study the requests, the following requirements are taken in consideration:

    • Academic record (60%).

    • Vinculation between the candidate and institutions or/and organisms in which they can apply the practical knowledge acquired in the Master (10%).

    • Additional postgraduate education (10%).

    • Letter of motivation/ statement of purpose (10%).

    • Knowdlege in lenguages: Spanish and French (5%).

    • Other merits (5%).

    • Practical experience outside of study is desirable but not required. 

 

Fee payments (2021)

The total fees for the entire Master Program are 4000€ + 1000€*.

  • 1000 € is due within 30 days after admission to secure the place in the Program.

  • Another 1000 € is due at the beginning of the first semester.

  • Another 1000 € is due at the beginning of the second semester.

  • The final payment of 1000 € is due upon completion of the Program and before any transcripts or diplomas will be issued.

*The enrollment at the UPEI require an additional payment of 1000€ in order to provide the students with all the necessary insurances.
