Dr. Wimal Rankaduwa
Wimal Rankaduwa is a Professor of Economics and the Coordinator of the International Studies program at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI). He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Graduate Studies at Dalhousie University (DAL) and the Department of Economics at Saint Mary’s University (SMU) in Nova Scotia, Canada. Broadly, his areas of research are econometric modeling, applied macroeconomics, and international development. As a researcher and a consultant, he has presented his recent research on such issues as immigration and productivity to the Standing Committees of the Government of Canada (both the Senate and the House of Commons) and the Provincial Government of Prince Edward Island.
